Left Behind III
We are very encouraged that Sony Pictures, which will be distributing the DVD of the upcoming Left Behind: World at War starring the original cast and Acadamy Award winner Lou Gossett, Jr., has allowed us to include 24 minutes of teaching on the DVD. We included portions of "The Firefighter" episode of "The Way of the Master," a good witnessing encounter, and mentioned our new eight-week Basic Training Course (which we hope to have available in late October). Please pray for this incredible opportunity so that the Church will be stirred to witness. The Left Behind DVD is scheduled for release in late October.

What Did Jesus Do?New Book Examines Use of the Law in Scripture
What Did Jesus Do? A Call to Return to the Biblical Gospel answers the skeptic's question, "Where is the Law used evangelistically in the New Testament?" The cynic will be surprised to find that three chapters of this book are devoted to Jesus and His use of the Ten Commandments to reach the lost. Two chapters are devoted to Paul's use of the Law. Paul imitated Jesus; so did Stephen, James, Peter, John the Baptist, and Jude. So did Spurgeon, Wesley, Whitefield, and others down through the ages. It seems that only the modern Church has deviated from biblical evangelism. In a day when many preachers carefully craft their words so as not to offend their hearers, this book calls the Church back to the way of the Master Evangelist, to consider "What did Jesus do?" and then to go and do likewise. This is must reading for all who care about the lost.

The Greatest GambleGreat New Evangelistic Tool
One of the "The Way of the Master" episodes, called "The Greatest Gamble," has such a clear gospel presentation that we've produced it as a separate DVD. It is packaged so that it doesn't appear to be a Christian product, making it a great gift for the unsaved.

This DVD explains that the "greatest gamble" is to believe there is no hell. It helps the lost understand that they're gambling with their eternity, explains the evidences for hell as a just punishment for sin, addresses the conscience, etc. The on-the-street interviews clearly explain the gospel. Available at a very low cost in small quantities, it's perfect for giving to lost people as an effective witnessing tool!

Campus Crusade
We were thrilled that Campus Crusade for Christ chose to offer a free copy of "Soundly Saved" (Kirk's testimony and teaching of Biblical evangelism) in a mailing to their 380,000 donors in July. Please pray that many will request this free resource.

Open Air PreachingOpen Air Preaching
All four of our open-air preaching videos are now available on one convenient DVD, making it a handy training tool for individual or group use. Called "Open-Air Preaching: 4 in 1," it contains "Open-Air Preaching: New York," "In Season, Out of Season," "How to Preach Open Air," and "Open-Air Preaching from A to Z."

Spurgeon GoldNew Charles Spurgeon Book
Books about the life and ministry of "The Prince of Preachers" are not uncommon. However, Spurgeon Gold takes a unique approach. It isolates the great preacher's deep passion for the lost, many of his powerful gospel proclamations, and his convicting exhortations to Christians to share their faith. You will weep your way through this rich compilation.

..:: Wadded Up Tract ::..
Sent in by Dan L. (Arkansas)

My team and I were asked to hold a three-day revival at a semi-large (400–500 member) evangelical church. We went around their town with some of the local Christians and invited folks to attend the services, handing out tracts and praying with some along the way.

Near the end of the service, even before an altar call was given, a man came staggering up the middle aisle and went straight for the altar and began weeping. Upon approaching him I saw a wadded up tract still in his hand. The church seemed very shocked by this man's presence (he was one of the town drunks and a troublemaker). We let him weep all through the altar call while others came to Christ and were prayed for. After the altar was cleared out we were able to converse with this man. He was sober, and serious. Never underestimate the power of God through written literature—even to a drunk person.

Do you want to contribute your witnessing experiences, tract stories and creative evangelism ideas to the "Coffee Break" column? Send them to: share@wayofthemaster.com, and maybe we'll use yours!
(Please include your first name, last name, and location, in case we use your story!)
