"I couldn't
believe my eyes!"
Earlier this month Kirk hosted 2 hours of must
see TV on the Trinity Broadcast Network. We
received a flood of emails with comments like
"Unbelievable!" "I never thought I'd see that
on TBN!" and "How did you pull that off?!" Candace
Cameron (Kirk's sister from Full House) shared
her testimony, and Natalie Grant and Kory Welsh
sang.
 |
When asked what it was like to interview John
MacArthur, Kirk said, "It felt like Babe Ruth
was up to bat and I was simply tossing him softballs.
He knocked every one out of the park!" Ray Comfort
spoke of his popular new book "What Hollywood
Believes" (as recently featured on Fox News)
and Steven Curtis Chapman finished off the night
(after arriving in the nick of time by helicopter
from the Jay Leno show) to sing three not yet
released songs inspired by John Piper's book
"Don't Waste Your Life". Kirk gave a very clear
gospel presentation for the viewing "backsliders"
and unbelievers and previewed some footage from
the upcoming season of The Way of the Master
television series.
We are considering having this DVD produced,
and we'd like to know how many people would
be interested in purchasing a copy. If you would
like a copy of this program for your home library
or to show friends who missed it, then send
us an email to let us know. The number of emails
we receive will help us decide if we need to
make DVDs available. Click

| Fox
News Interview
-- Ray Comfort
Huge doors are opening for
What
Hollywood Believes. I am so excited
about its evangelistic potential. On Labor
Day an opportunity arose to be interviewed
about the publication on Fox News (89,000,000
viewers). The BBC called from London and
requested a copy of the book. The editor
of Charisma magazine also requested
one. Ministries Today magazine
is visiting us on the 22nd to do a ministry
profile, and opening have also come up
on WAWZ New York (23,000,000 listeners),
as well as Daystar and FamilyNet television
programs next month, talking about What
Hollywood Believes.
We
were also contacted by the Vice-President
of Sales & Marketing from the game
and puzzle manufacturer who partners with
Big Ideas (Veggie Tales®), with Max
Lucado's HERMIE® and created the best
selling game in the CBA history called
The UNgame®. He wants to create a
game based on the TV show. We are about
to propose a "What Hollywood Believes"
game. So please continue to pray for this
book as negotiations are under way with
Wal-Mart and Sam's Club to stock it.
Even atheists are interested...
This quote was spotted on an atheist
website called "God is for Suckers":
"A new book--What Hollywood
Believes: An Intimate Look at the Faith
of the Famous. OK, I gotta admit,
I'm curious. I know it's by a Xian who's
presenting it for propaganda, but still."
An unsaved man dropped into our ministry,
so someone gave him a copy. He emailed
back, "Can I buy a couple of copies of
the What Hollywood Believes book?...Everyone
who peeks at the book wants one." |

New "Ten
Commandments" Coins
The best idea to come along since
we started pressing pennies...
-- from LivingWaters.com
We've just had coins
manufactured with the Ten Commandments
on one side, and the Gospel on the
other. As you can see, the text is
small, but if you've been using the
pressed pennies... you'll notice that
the smallest text on the new coin
is the same size you have now on the
pressed penny. This bright aluminum
coin can easily be read as you tilt
it into the light. This is an excellent
springboard into the Gospel, and a
wonderful gift to give to the unsaved.
They are 1½ inches in diameter--50
coins for $8.00.
The side with the Ten Commandments
has James 2:10 around its outer edge,
"For whoever shall keep the whole
Law, and yet offend in one point,
he is guilty of all." The other
side says, "You have to face
God on judgment day. He sees lust
as adultery (Matt. 5:28) and hatred
as murder (1 John 3:15). Will you
be guilty? Jesus took your punishment
on the cross, and rose again defeating
death, to save you from Hell. Repent
(Luke 13:5) and trust in Him today."
John 3:16 is printed around that side's
outer edge, and needGod.com (an evangelistic
website) is also mentioned. (You
can go here to get the Ten Commandments
Coins.)
Go
here for an enlargement of the coin's
front and back.

Church Growth
Secret from Pine
Mountain ::..
This one sent
in by Dr. Ray
D., Pastor, Pine
Mountain Club,
CA.
I have purchased
twelve sets of
The
Foundation Course
and am training
the whole church
in this way of
sharing the Gospel.
I have shared
Christ more in
the past six months
after studying
your course than
the previous ten
years combined.
I share with everyone
now, and somehow,
can't stop. It
has become a part
of most of my
sermons at some
point. I have
trained eight
leaders who are
leading small
groups teaching
others in our
church. Our youth
ministry kids
love it as well
as the tracts
and are sharing
Christ at their
high school, and
junior high. Our
church is growing,
parking problems
are getting big,
and so many people
coming, it is
hard to get in.
Thank you so much.
..::
Seeing it in Action
::..
This one sent
in by James C.,
Memphis, TN.
Thank you so much
for your ministry
and your faithful
commitment to
seeking the lost.
I was recently
on a military
trip to Atlanta
when I happened
to see three guys
holding a sign
that said "Are
you a Good Person,
Win $100 Cash!"
on the streets
of downtown Atlanta.
I immediately
knew what they
were doing and
ran over to them
with two of my
friends. One of
the guys had been
to the Evangelism
Boot Camp
recently, and
I was so encouraged
to see other laborers
sharing the Gospel
in another part
of the country.
We stayed for
about an hour
with them while
people would run
up and say, "I
want to win a
$100!" Of
course no one
won the money,
but they did get
the Words of everlasting
life. I even did
the Light
Show which
drew a lot of
curious onlookers.
But what was even
more incredible
about the incident
was that one of
my friends that
was with me finally
understood why
you should use
the Law in evangelism.
I'd been trying
to explain to
her for months
the importance
of using the Ten
Commandments when
sharing the Gospel,
but she just didn't
understand. Until
she saw it in
action. She was
awestruck as she
listened to these
guys take people
through the Law,
preparing their
hearts for grace,
and then sharing
the bloodied cross
of Christ, telling
them the Good
News of their
fine being paid.
She said it was
like a light going
off inside her
head. Trying to
witness to people
in the heart of
the Bible Belt
is difficult,
because they've
been so "gospel-hardened".
Often people will
say "I've
asked Jesus into
my heart",
but are strangers
to repentance.
People inside
the church are
sometimes harder
to reach than
people outside
the church. But
praise God that
He is raising
up laborers to
boldly proclaim
the Gospel to
a lost and dying
world, and a lukewarm
church.
