Alcatraz Island
We rented Alcatraz for an entire evening
and filmed an episode on how sin becomes a prison.
It was an unforgettable experience--to look into
tiny cells that held infamous criminals such as
Al Capone. We called the episode "Alcatraz, Al
Capone, Alcohol." To see more pictures, and learn
more about what happened there checkout the Producer's
Journal on the shoot.
The Church of Satan
-- By Ray Comfort
This week I had the interesting experience of
interviewing a representative from the "Church
of Satan." One of their tenants is to be friendly
to anyone they meet...but if that person offends
them, they are to "destroy" them. It gave
me great consolation to know that I had a wonderful
camera crew with me--guys that were not only buff,
but also faithful men of God. I was confident
that if a knife was pulled and I was attacked
during the interview...they would make sure that
it was filmed from every angle.
After
we filmed I gave the man a box of chocolates and
a financial gift, for his time. The money was
slipped into a butterfly
tract. He was a professing atheist, and emailed
later saying, "... please tell [Ray] his butterfly
gave us quite a surprise as [we merged] onto the
freeway. I almost got to commune with God, but
probably not in the way that was intended. But
afterwards we had a good laugh and we always appreciate
a little mirth."
There was a little tension at first, but the
interview went well. Please pray for his salvation
(his name is Jack). One of the stipulations of
the interview was that I wasn't allowed to try
and make him "see the light." We will combine
that clip with interviews at an upcoming Ozzie
Osborne Rock Festival here in California. Please
pray that we will get a permit to film there.

| How
YOU Can Help
With An Upcoming Book
Thanks to the talent and diligence
of our on-the-scene photographer Carol Scott
(C.J. Studio), we have over 2000 photos
from behind the scenes of "The Way
of the Master." We have taken the cream
of these wonderful pictures and created
a "Behind the Scenes--The Way of the
Master" coffee-table book. This is
not only a high quality full color picture
book, but it will contain a running commentary
about each shoot, teachings on how to witness
to an atheist, backslider, friend, family
member, etc., transcribed colorful interviews,
as well as original scripts and personal
comments from Kirk and Ray. Here's
how YOU can help... We may include
a section answering viewer's questions,
so CLICK
HERE to email any questions you
may have: either personal, about the making
of the show, or about sharing your faith.
Please keep these questions short and simple...
and don't forget your name, city and state.
Thanks. |

| People
are Getting Saved
This
one sent in by Chris C., Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada
I wanted to pass this onto
you in the hope that it might inspire other
pastors to try what we're doing at church.
It seems every time we arrange an evangelism
course to train our church members, very
few show up. I figure it's because people
are very busy during the week and find it
hard to give more than one extra evening
a week. With music practices and prayer
groups... evangelism training usually ends
up taking a back seat for many. So we decided
to try something unconventional. We decided
to designate one Sunday morning service
a month as an evangelism emphasis service
and show one of the foundation
course videos. For
some reason, many pastors are reluctant
to show a video on Sunday morning because
they like to preach. But after the first
week, the people loved it so much we were
inundated with positive comments and people
asking when the next one was showing. Our
initial intention was to do this simply
to equip and educate Christians, but something
phenomenal started happening... people were
getting saved at church as a result of watching
the videos. The second week was so powerful,
the Pastor told me to do an altar call because
the conviction was so thick. So I did, and
4 people responded. Each time since we did
the same thing and every week people are
getting saved at church! It shouldn't come
as a surprise. Many attend church but don't
know the Lord. Others come to church with
family or friends and often continue to
come but aren't even saved. One young man
had been attending with his parents for
over a month. He would sit in on the service
generally unmoved. The first morning we
showed the video, he went to his mom and
said, "I don't belong here! I am not
a Christian." He was so convicted he
refused to return to church. But his mom
pressed him until he came back to attend
an Easter service. He brought his big brother
for some added comfort. His brother got
saved! He remains under conviction. Now
people are asking when the next video is
so they can bring friends to church. They
come in expecting the usual 2 hymns and
a quick sermon about peace and love... instead
they get an earful of Ray Comfort and Kirk
Cameron, they fall under serious conviction
and repent! It's awesome. We are gonna keep
showing these videos one Sunday every month
until the Lord comes back! If you are a
pastor, try it, you may be pleasantly surprised. |

Free Tickets

This one sent

"I
was working
at an evangelistic
booth sponsored
by our church
today, and the
venue was the
Temecula Balloon
and Wine Festival.
After a few
hours, a young
couple came
to our booth
and we walked
them through
some IQ
tests. They
said they were
familiar with
our tracts and
had seen them
recently at
some other venue
(at a similar
type of booth
with similar
tracts). After
walking them
through the
Commandments,
they admitted
they were guilty
and deserved
Hell. When asked
if they were
concerned, they
replied that
they were very
concerned. After
letting us know
they wanted
to become Christians,
they informed
us that they
almost went
home without
entering the
festival because
they did not
realize how
expensive it
was to get in,
and they had
not brought
enough cash
with them. In
short, they
walked up to
the gate, saw
the ticket prices
and decided
to give up and
go home. As
they were leaving,
a man they have
never met, walked
up to them and
gave them two
free tickets
to enter ($38
value). They
were very glad
and a little
surprised, and
within a few
minutes walked
over to our
booth where
we were eventually
able to share
the 'Good News'
with them."

Button-Bait
::..
This one sent
in by Camellia
P.,

This is the
easiest way
I've found to
witness, because
you are witnessing
when you don't
even know it.
It's like FISHING
and you're just
sitting there
in the boat,
going about
something else,
and there is
a tug on the
line, someone
has caught the
bait. I made
this button
which says,
'Do you consider
yourself to
be a good person?'
and I wear it
when I go out.
It's as easy
as putting a
worm on a hook.
AND THE PEOPLE
BITE. If you
feel bold you
can point it
out and begin
a conversation.
If you're not
so bold, they
still bite.
I was paying
for a purchase
at a local department
store and forgot
I had it on.
One of the other
sales ladies
was eyeing it
and with a proud
proclamation
said, "WELL
YES I DO!".
I looked at
her with surprise
and she said,
"I WAS
READING YOUR
BUTTON AND YES,
I THINK I'M
A GOOD PERSON!".
Well, this is
about as exciting
as someone running
up to you and
asking 'WHAT
MUST I DO TO
BE SAVED!"
I really was
in a hurry and
it was just
not the time
to start a conversation
so I said, "WELL
HERE IS A TEST
YOU CAN TAKE
TO SEE IF YOU
REALLY ARE GOOD,"
and I gave her
my favorite
tract - the
little booklet
"Are you
a good person,"
(I love this
tract because
it's so small
and easy to
carry in a pocket
and also because
it does not
get easily damaged
or tattered.)
I made the button
for under a
dollar. A local
craft store
carries these
Design-A-Buttons
and you just
print up your
message and
snap it in the
plastic button.
Thank you Living
Waters for all
your great FISHING
resources!
(NOTE
FROM WAY OF
THE MASTER:
If you can't
find the Design-A-Buttons
at your local
craft store,
you can get
them online
for as cheap
as .77 cents
apiece at this
particular online
shop. We've
created some
2 1/2 inch evangelistic
button designs
that you can
download and
print off. You
can get them
here.)
